Camp & Lodging Common Questions

How many nights of lodging are included?

Our standard stay is three full days of hunting and three nights of lodging. If you need to stay over a 4th night for travel purposes; just let us know. If we have space available, we will happily accommodate your request.

Are the sleeping arrangements private or shared?

Our lodging is designed to accommodate groups comfortably. Depending on your party size and the week’s booking, rooms may be shared with other hunters in your group. If you have specific privacy needs or are traveling with a spouse, please let us know during the booking process so we can do our best to accommodate you.

What are the standard check-in and check-out times?

To ensure our staff can properly prepare the lodge for every group, we typically schedule check-in for the afternoon before your first scheduled hunt day. Check-out is usually by mid-morning on the day following your final hunt. Specific times will be confirmed in your booking welcome packet.

What do I need to bring with me?

Just your clothing, toiletries, weapon of choice and desire to have a great time! We supply all other items needed such as pillows, linens, towels etc.

Where is the nearest town for last-minute supplies?

The lodge is located in a peaceful, secluded area, but we are within a reasonable drive of local towns where you can find sporting goods, hardware, and groceries. We recommend double-checking your gear list before arrival, but our guides are happy to point you toward the best local spots for any last-minute necessities.

Is there secure storage for my hunting equipment?

Absolutely. We provide dedicated areas for your bows, rifles, and gear bags to keep them safe and organized. We ask that all firearms remain unloaded while inside the lodge and that all gear is stored in the designated mudroom area to keep the living quarters clean and comfortable for everyone.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes, we recognize that having spouses and children (school age) along is part of the overall experience and we do not charge an additional fee. Each hunting guest may also bring ONE non-hunting friend for a flat charge of $500 (lodging space pending). Please let us know when you make your reservations how many will be attending.

How far is the lodge from the hunting locations?

One of the best parts of the KTD experience is proximity. Most of our stands and blinds are located within a short 5-to-15-minute drive from the lodge. This minimizes travel time and maximizes your time in the field during those "golden hour" windows.

What type of food is provided?

We provide two home cooked meals each day. Breakfast is typically after the morning hunt and dinner in the early evening. We will have coffee, juice, milk, soft drinks and water available before you head out in the morning. There are always sandwiches, chips and snacks available for lunch or any other time you may get hungry.

What if I have special dietary considerations?

Please let us know as soon as possible if there are special dietary restrictions or requirements which you may have. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs while in camp.

Are adult beverages provided?

Yes, we have a great selection of beer, wine and spirits available for you, once your hunt has concluded for the day. Guests like to get together in the evenings and get to know one another while enjoying the bar and game room or fire pit area.

What is the cell phone reception and connectivity like?

While we are located in a rural area, our lodge is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi to keep you connected. Most major cellular carriers have reliable service at the lodge, though coverage can be spotty once you are deep in the timber or down in the creek bottoms.

What other activities are available while I am on my hunt?

We have a game room featuring billiards, Darts or enjoy a game of "corn hole" on the proch with your friends.

Are there also other outdoor activities available?

We have the following outdoor activities available as well: Sporting Clays Course with multiple automated throwing stations - We have shotguns available for your use or feel free to bring your own. The shotgun use and clay targets are complimentary and we have target ammo available for $5/box. 20 Target Archery Shooters Association (ASA) 3-D Range with elevated platform is availlable for your use. If you wish to shoot the course; remember to bring your bow. Fishing Pond - Our farm pond is teeming with bass and available for your use; however, we can only fish while no one is actively hunting (e.g., mid-day or non-hunting days). We have fishing tackle or feel free to bring your own.
